When is it an emergency?
It’s important to consider whether your situation is an emergency the SES can assist with, or whether someone else can help. The SES is a highly trained emergency service, yet nearly half of call outs are for non-emergencies. Think before calling the SES, they may be needed elsewhere. If your situation is life-threatening, call 000 immediately.
Non-emergency contacts
Often situations that seem urgent and overwhelming can be dealt with using local services such as a handyman, arborist or local council.
