Marine Rescue Volunteer
Marine rescue volunteers play a vital role in protecting the safety of South Australian boat users. They conduct water based search and rescue activities, and help mariners in non-emergency situations such as break downs.
Marine rescue volunteers perform a range of activities such as:
- Assisting mariners in non-emergency situations such as breakdowns
- Searching waterways for missing people
- Rescuing people from boats and waterways
- Ferrying people from one location to another in emergency situations
- Helping other emergency services with operations such as transporting emergency service personnel and police.
