State Emergency Service (SES) volunteers in South Australia attend to a variety of different types of incidents, rescues or requests for assistance. Information about current SA SES incidents, such as incident type, incident status, date, time, location and responding SES unit, are listed in real-time (as they happen) on the SA SES current incident list webpage.
Examples of SES Incidents
Tree Down
An incident where a tree, or large branch, has fallen on powerlines, is blocking a road or has caused significant damage to property and is posing a risk to the public. This can be caused by a storm, a heatwave, or an internal weakness of the tree. We advise you avoid the area until the tree has been cleared.
Flooding Salvage
These incidents arise when water has entered property or flooded roads, or is threatening to do so. Flooding can be caused by rivers, stormwater, a dam release or a high tide combined with a storm surge along the coast. We advise you avoid the area. Never drive, ride or walk through floodwater.
Severe Weather
Storms can happen anywhere at any time of year, and when they’re severe they can cause major damage, resulting in a SASES response to a Severe Weather incident. Stay clear of the area until the storm has passed and the situation has been made safe.
