The South Australian State Emergency Service (SES) provides two different options for sandbag distribution to the public. Members of the public can access sandbags from self-help sandbag pods and from temporary community sandbag locations that may be made available in specific areas near expected storm activity.
SES Self-help Sandbag Pods
Across South Australia, SES has installed self-serve sandbag pods that contain pre-made packs of empty sandbags sufficient to protect entry points to your home. These are designed for members of the public to take proactive measures before calling the SES. Locations for these pods are listed in the table below.
